.rozen maiden träumend.

[anime]

synopsis:

The second season of Rozen Maiden, subtitled träumend (ăƒˆăƒă‚¤ăƒ¡ăƒ³ăƒˆ, toroimento?) has a slightly darker tone. Träumend is German for "dreaming." The episodes are more plot-driven and deal with topics such as "Father" — the Rozen Maiden's creator — and the inevitable conclusion to the "Alice Game." Jun does not yet attend school (he has much work to make up before he can go back), but studies at home and at the local library. He is much more willing and eager to go outside the house, and seems to have even grown fond of the ever-present dolls. Shinku has also been changed, thanks to the events of the previous season, but she is generally as aristocrat-like as ever, lecturing and punishing Jun at every opportunity. Several new non-doll characters are introduced, including a riddle-spouting, tuxedo-attired anthropomorphic rabbit and two mysterious men who operate a doll shop, one of whom bears an uncanny resemblance to Rozen. The final group of dolls also appear this season: Kanaria, the second doll, Barasuishou, who introduces herself as the seventh doll, and Kirakishou, the true seventh doll.

.wishing stairs.

[movie]

synopsis:

The legend goes that if you climb the twenty eight steps leading up to the school dormitory, counting each step aloud, and find a twenty ninth, a spirit will appear and grant you a wish.

The movie takes place in a girl's art school and focuses on two friends studying ballet, however their friendship soon turns sour when they find themselves competing for a single spot in a Russian ballet school. Yun Ji-seong played by Sung Ji Hyo, remembering the old legend of the "Wishing Stairs" wishes for a place in the prestigious ballet school, and in a shocking turn of events, she gets it, at the cost of her best friend, Kim So-hie's life. However, it's only when the extremely odd character of Eom Hye-ju wishes the dead girl back, that an unspeakable evil is released.

The film itself seems to mirror the ballet "Giselle", which girls in the film are studying. So-hie as Giselle. Jin-sung as Albrecht. Jin-sung betrays So-hie, which in turn leads to So-hie being crippled and commits suicide after her friend Jin-sung confesses she has hated her all along. When So-hie's spirit is wished back, Jin-sung is haunted by So-hie's ghost, and in the end forgiven. The film, however has a very different outcome than that of the ballet.

.which star are you from?.

a.k.a. "what's your star ?"

[drama]

synopsis:

A countryside girl who grew up on a hillside village in Kangwon-do is later found out to be the daughter of a rich family in Kangnam. How lucky! Overnight she has realized every person's fantasy. But is she really happy? Is she truthfully happy? The goal of this drama is to show how characters that seem like they would never be able to truly communicate with each other start to look at the world from inside the other person's shoes; the process of how they face difficulties with each other but learn to understand and communicate; the process of how they heal their pain and find themselves. And finally of how they discover in a fun and touching way that everyone in the world, including themselves, can be a hero. Whether you have a lot or not, whether you had a great education or not, whether you're old or young, whether you have found true love or not...life can still be so lonely and tiring. Becoming an adult means opening yourself to others by finding out that life's lonely journey isn't only about you. Those who know this are the ones that can taste the true happiness of love. In the end, everyone's happiness comes from within their own heart. Our wish is that all people living in this desolate and gray civilization will be able to feel true warmth and happiness spreading through their hearts.

before summer vacation ended, i met with my high school friends and got to talk with my bestfriend.
she told me about the drama "which star are you from?" which is shown in the Philippines at that time. (i'm not sure if it's still shown... haha! dunno if it ended already.)
she told me it was a good kdrama since it also has comedic scenes and stuff.
and so i decided to watch this.
it even got in the way of my plan to watch dalja's spring, which i have also finished.
anyway, back onto which star are you from.
it's a nice kdrama to watch.
i thought it was a very sad drama thinking that it all starts with an accident and such but it's actually funny at times.

.fox, what are you doing?.

a.k.a. "Fox Lady", "What's up, Fox?"

[drama]

synopsis:

Men and women all have habits they can’t seem to give up until the day they die.
Men have swallows sitting in their hearts.
And women have fantasies about love.

So they continue to wander around confused in their search for love without having the faintest idea who their true soul mate is.
Such characters meet and quibble with one another in this drama series.
Each dreaming of their own fantasies, they say cynically, “Thanks, but no thanks!”
Creating mirages without substance, they become heartbroken chasing after something that is not real.
So they think happiness only belongs to others.

Most people probably have experienced at one time or another, searching for a pencil all over their house, only to discover they had been holding it in their hand all the while. This drama is about the process of realizing that the pencil is in your hands.

This drama wants to talk about the simple truth that both love and happiness are found right beside you, right in your heart. It wants to say that if you discard your superficial defenses, just a little, you too can become happy.

my view:

i really liked this drama.
at first, i thought the pacing was a little slow.
good thing i didn't stop watching right then and there because it would've been a great loss to me.
i loved this one!
